HAWLEY – Rep. Mike Peifer (R-Pike/Wayne) announced that the veterans’ assistance outreach scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at his district office has been rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 9. The time and location remain the same. This is due to Peifer’s district office being closed on Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans Day.

Dominick Nati, an American Legion service officer, will be at Peifer’s district office, located at 2523 Route 6, Suite 2, in Hawley, to provide free assistance to veterans with a variety of issues.

“The American Legion has much to offer to our area veterans. I highly encourage local veterans to take advantage of these assistance hours to see how this organization can help them,” said Peifer.

Veterans need not be a member of the American Legion to use this service. To schedule an appointment, call Peifer’s office at 570-226-5959. Hours are offered on the second Monday of each month.
