Peifer Offers Veterans Outreach Services Beginning May 13

HONESDALE – Reaching out to area veterans and their families, Rep. Mike Peifer (R-Monroe/Pike/Wayne) is now hosting the American Legion Service Officer Outreach program on a monthly basis at his office in Honesdale.

A service representative will be at the office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Monday of each month, starting on May 13.

“Our veterans have given so much to our country and our Commonwealth. The benefits we provide to them are a small token of recognition and appreciation for their service,” Peifer said.
“I encourage any veteran, regardless of whether he or she is a member of the American Legion, to take advantage of this opportunity.”

The American Legion program offers veterans assistance with compensation, education, pension, health care and death benefits. Veterans need not be a member of the American Legion to use the service.

To schedule an appointment, contact Peifer’s office at 570-253-5533.
